Today, I realized just how bad my 28-year-old husband's gamer rage is when I came home to a smashed TV. This is the second TV in three months that he's destroyed. FML

Smash one TV, shame on you. Smash two TVs, shame on me.

In all fairness, its understandable. For example, have you ever played the indie game "the impossible game" for the xbox? I lose my voice after playing that game for 20 minutes. And I'm a fairly calm person.

True gamers play PC games. COD is for 12 year old boys.

As long as he gets a new TV before Sunday football, I see no problem.

Teach him to camp. It's a legitimate strategy!

Her husband living with her shouldn't be a problem...

Geez...my gamer husband will either roar with frustration or rage quit. Yours has a serious problem. Violent over a game? Not acceptable. I'm a gamer too and understand the pain when being owned. But a poor kdr isn't an excuse to smash a tv.

You do not have a 29 nine years od husband. You have a 29 nine years old son.

*28 years old And getting upset at something like that does not make someone a kid. Some games are genuinely frustrating. Nearly everyone does something stupid when they are angry at one point or another.

Yeah, when you're like 10 or 15. At 28 years old you're suppose to have some life experiences, learned a few things, etc. And that behaviour isn't really acceptable. "Oh, he was angry at work so he punched out his boss. But it's okay because we all do stupid things when we're angry once in a while!" Age *IS* a factor here, as people are expected to have more self and impulse control. The only person I've ever know who would do something like this is a dead-beat cocaine addict with severe anger management issues. Not saying the husband is, but I know a lot more gamers than coke heads, and they wouldn't dream of destroying their stuff over a GAME.

@_Wraith. I was vague for a reason. I know how hard controlling rage can be, especially if it's caused by a medical condition you can't help, or may not be aware you have. Heck, even some meds can make you more prone to anger as a side-effect, and some people are just short tempered in general. I would suggest he get that looked into, though. And yes, I speak from personal experience. It's frustrating for the most part.=

HOW did I know call of duty would be referenced on the first comment?

When are people going to realize that it's just a game?
