Who uses a knife for Nutella? I always find the biggest spoon I can fit in the jar!! :) Mmm, Nutella on cookies, apples, bananas, pretzels, or just straight from the jar. OP, YDI, totally!! Pay attention!!

Nutella & Fluff sandwich, perhaps? I'd still use a spoon, more surface area on the utensil to get Nutella on, and I can always have that extra spoonful of chocolate hazelnut deliciousness to tide me over until my sandwich is ready!! :D Bonus!!!

When using a knife, I don't stick it in my mouth afterwards. I simply use the wiggly little thing called the tongue while death staring at the knife so I won't get cut. Hope it's nothing too serious, OP.
