Today, I had to teach my younger brother to shave with a regular disposable razor because our dad uses an electric one and I'm the only other person in the family with enough facial hair to know how to use a razor. I probably would have been proud if I wasn't a girl. FML

Nair may be able to help...

That is horrible advice. You should not use it near any sensitive body parts. Genitals and face.

Aw you are not alone. I was in the same situation. My mom got me into using wax for my face and trust me it's made my life easier. Now I can go for weeks without worrying about plucking etc. Give it a try.

Why are people ripping so bad on OP? Women need to shave as much as men do (if not more given all the body parts we shave), but God forbid anyone actually finds out we do have body/facial hair (granted we don't have as much as males)... Just because she doesn't conform to societies ideals doesn't give a reason to pick on the poor girl. OP if you don't like it I would recommend waxing, it lasts a few weeks and as 15 said, the hair does grow back slower and finer after repeated use. If it is really bad, it could be hormonal and I'd recommend a doctor. Don't worry too much about it. My grandma's always been on the hairy side but she still had 5 kids with her husband. Clearly she did something right :P

That's true, but there's no call for the "bearded lady" comments.

That just makes the comments unoriginal as well as unfunny!

Women don't NEED to shave. There's just stupid societal pressure to do so. The further you move from westernized culture, the less women shave and no one seems to complain about it. There are still attractive women, even without the shaving. I saw a Swedish woman with almost as much leg hair as me, and she was still hot!!!! The operative phrase "Are you going to knit, or are you going to ****" comes to mind.

88 Well of course she was hot, she was Swedish :P Anyway I'd already touched on that point in my comment (societal ideals I mean).

Don't be embarrassed, OP. I shaved a couple women's facial hair when I worked in the nursing home. Besides, we all have our own little embarrassing quirks.

If you are young and have enough facial to need to shave often you might want to pop into your GP to get your LH:FSH hormone ratio level checked. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is common enough and comes in many varying degress of hirsutism. Checking your steroid levels might be a good idea as well as Cushing's syndrome is another possibility. Or it could be just that you're a bit hairy full stop. :/

43's right, prove your worth by having lots of kids. That'll teach you for being ashamed of your facial hair!

Piss off. My point was that a lot of guys don't care about that sort of thing if they're in love with the person. Might I add that they were married for 30+ years before he died?

Actually come to think of it it would have been more like 42+ years...

OP I have the same problem, it's a hormone imbalance. Birth control will help :)

Certain nationalities have hairy females too, and red-heads (I should know) you can't change that. Well, electrolsys can but, shaving is far less painful.

Irony at its best. Women dread getting hair in certain places & men can't wait to get it!
