Today, I had to awkwardly explain in a conference with HR, management, and my coworkers that the occasional bruises, cuts, welts, and choke marks are from consensual BDSM sex and NOT domestic violence. FML

At least they showed concern for you. My co-workers would tell me to walk off a double leg amputation.

I don't understand why you had to explain that it was do to BDSM. Couldn't you just have assured them it isn't abuse but it is personal? Or lie and say you've been taking an MMA training program?

Your life sucks, but your sex life sounds pretty awesome

Maybe try having some class and don't show up to work constantly with sex marks where people can see them. Very unprofessional.

Or maybe you can actually try to conceal them with makeup and at least try to make an effort to be professional.

Should have told them the first rule is you can't talk about it, and the second rule is you can't talk about it

Tell them it's none of their damn business and you'll thank them to stay out of your personal affairs.

Actually, three words: concealer and turtlenecks. You may overheat, but that’s what personal fans are for.

this is why smart bottoms make sure their top understands the fact that marks cannot be visible at work. congratulations on dragging an unconsenting group of people into your sex life and making the rest of us look bad.
