Today, I found that I conduct so much static electricity that I'm periodically given a shock by my headphones as I walk with them on. 5ML

That's probably not a healthy relationship to have with your headphones...

Okay, FML's 5th birthday. I'm sorry fml website. I forget my family's birthday sometimes so I hope we can put this behind. I really cannot go a day without you. Forgive me.

Lol, the same thing kept happening to me the other day except I was petting my dog.

Ear buds? Or carry an old fashion boom box if that works :D

It's your shoes (or desk chair wheels) and the carpet that is building up the static charge. If you are home, just take off your shoes and in your bare or sock feet you will not build up a charge. If at work, try static guard on the carpet in your immediate area. The other thing is that this only becomes noticeable when the air is very dry.

socks on carpet will definately build up a static charge

The same thing happens to me, about every 5 steps or so. It's not a big shock, but it bugs me bad!
