Love is used too broadly. You may have had a crush, but love of your life? Highly doubt that. That's probably why they had to make you punishment. You're one of "those" girls

It only really sucks if he dumped you after a token amount of time. If that loss of a bet on his part resulted in him finding something wonderful in you, then who cares why he made the initial moves? I'm sure he'd be hurt if he now cares for you, and you reject him for that meaningless reason.

i wish that this would be the case. but these days i am not so sure that a high enough percentage of guys would go to this extent, to even make it a justifiable comment :(
