Today, I finally got the courage to go up and ask out the girl I have loved for a couple of months now. After she said yes, I was over the moon and ran home to tell my roommate. The next day, I saw her making out with another man. When I confronted her, she said "Oh, you were serious yesterday?" FML

brrx, you can love someone before persuing a relationship with them. thats part of the reason you start one with them. OP didnt give enough information for you to assume he doesn't love her. you yourself probably have never been in love with someone if you think that. but i do agree with a few other posts, the word "love" shouldn't be thrown around like a toy.

I can't imagine how ******* creeped out I'd be if someone said to me on a first date. "You know, I love you".
