Today, I didn't feel like going to work, so I called in sick. Five hours later while out shopping, I got hit by a car at a crosswalk. Now I'm laid-up in the local hospital, really wishing I was with the guys at work. FML

Today, I got hit by a car walking to work. My first thought wasn't to call 911 or my husband, but to call work to let them know I wouldn't be able to make it in for my shift. FML

Today, I got rear-ended while on my way to work. This wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't pregnant, suffering from a horrible UTI, and running a fever. My boss called in sick, so now I'm stuck running the office alone. With whiplash. FML

Today, I was riding an electric scooter on my way to work when a car sped out of a driveway and hit me. Not only did I end up in hospital, but I missed my job on the second day back. FML

Today, while driving to work, an idiot pulled out of a junction without looking and wiped me out. I'm now in hospital with two broken legs, looking at employment pages because I didn't give work "enough notice" about my absence. FML

Today, I found out that my boss was actually legally obligated to send me to the hospital after I was hit on the head while working. I had to finish the entire work day while heavily concussed, and by the time I got to the ER I had lost complete feeling in my right side. They asked me to come in the day after. FML

Today, after three weeks in the hospital for a lung infection, I was released. On the way home, another car ran a red light and T-boned my car. Back to the hospital I go. FML

**** everybody that says you deserved it like those dipshits have never lied when calling in to work. Everybody needs a day off sometime whether it's scheduled or not. Who gives a **** if you lied it's not like you can call in and tell your boss you felt like shopping. Hope you get better soon bro.

I haven't. I wait for my scheduled days off because that's when the schedule allows me to be off. I'm not going to just fake being sick and leave my coworkers short handed.

Sometimes you honestly just need a break. And if op works at a place like me, then you'd have to request 90 days in advance and then possibly not get it. Though I'm always so busy my dream hooky day would be in pjs with Netflix.
