Oh no, I did a bad thing, tired to hide it, and then that bad thing got discovered, poor me. Boo ******* hoo, you brought this on yourself. If you really wanted to work on your marriage, you wouldn't have done the thing that was basically bound to irreparably damage it. Either work on your marriage, or leave, those are your options, but don't subject your wife, or another person, to your distrustful, cowardly, secretive and emotionally hurtful bullshit.

OP is terrible for cheating. But if the mistress told their wife, doesn't that mean the mistress knew they were cheating with a married person? Just saying the mistress is pretty terrible too if she knew.
