Today, I broke up with my girlfriend in a crowded mall. I thought this was a good idea, until she went ballistic, began screaming and crying, and then stabbed me in the stomach with a ballpoint pen. I got banned from the mall. FML

Did anybody wonder if OP broke up with her in an outrageous way while in the mall, and that caused her reaction? The stabbing was uncalled for, I agree, but this FML seems very bias to make the girlfriend seem wild. Perhaps OP made a scene, and was yelling/shouting.

Breaking up with someone in a public place like that is a punk move to begin with. Yeah it's supposed to ensure nothing crazy happens but it's just a dick move. The girl responding in such a way as that... that was overboard. But you were kinda asking for it. Chances are you said more than you should have since you were in a public setting whereas if you were in a more private place you would have withheld more words so nothing would happen to ya. But as far as girls threatening to kill themselves and the such... I dunno. I had one threaten to do so but it was only an attention ploy and once it was seen it wasn't going to work everything was fine. Not something to gamble with but sometimes that is all it is. But yeah... breaking up in a public place is a punk move. YDI
