Exactly... if the upgrade was already offered, it's kind of mean to undo it. It's worse customer service than not offering at all in the first place.

Just because the colleague was such a douche as well, you should have made a scene. Yes the first gentleman may have made a mistake, but the colleague's comment is what would have gotten to me more. I'm sorry but you don't speak to Customers that way... Oh and it was already made available to you that you'd be upgraded.

me and my wife got bumped up to first class because our tvs were broken on our way to our honeymoon. it was a nice trip. we even got free drinks. whether it was because we were in first class or because wed just gotten married i dont know. westjet sure got brownie points from me anyways
