In my house my mom and I have burping contests, I understand it being rude in front of guests or in a restaurant but in your own home, it shouldn't be a big deal.. In my opinion x)

You're 22 and, apparently, still living at home. Although it's a ridiculous reason to get upset over, they do kind of have a right to enforce things like that. If you truly want to be treated like an adult, move out and start living like one.
