Thanks Pam, FU too

Today, my brat of a coworker tried to convince our boss that I should get paid half of what I'm making because I broke my right arm. I'm left-handed, broke it on the job, and still doing a better job than her. She makes double what I do. FML

Talk to your boss on your behalf. Don't let them just screw you over you like that!

That's a tricky situation. You might as well fight her with one arm behind your back.

that's an HR issue... you're being harassed and they're openly discussing your pay. could be a lawsuit OP

Since she brought up wages, maybe you should point out to the boss about your skill level versus hers. She can't complain. Don't even ask for a raise. Just ask that her pay scale matches yours.

I'm not sorry to say YDI. If you are ok with people treating you like shit, people will treat you like shit. Sue the workplace for the injury, get a new and better paying job where you're appreciated.

You're acting as if this has happened many times before and OP has just put up with it this entire time

Because it's sooo easy to just get another job. I agree that in light of this bitch's comment, OP should consider looking for another job, but it may not be easy to find another job in her field. Not to mention she might want to wait until her arm heals.

The plight of working at a strip club. Break your arm falling from the pole one time and the other dancers swoop in like vultures.

There's a saying, treat people the way you want to be treated. I would give it right back. Don't put up with how she treats you.

Seriously if you make LITERALLY half of what your coworker makes at the same job you should have done something about that

sounds like the co-worker is VERY insecure. Just do the awesome job you have been doing, and happily. Makes her look more inefficient. That thought often makes it worthwhile

Given the title... Is the best related to the boss, possibly their daughter? Because that would explain both he wage gap and the coworker being arrogant and deluded enough to say that.

100% agree with #3. Time to take a stand OP

Well now, technically speaking, she makes 4x what you do. But, yeah...FYL
