So that's what the smell was!

Today, I found my son's dead goldfish. Apparently, when it died he didn't flush it. Instead he placed it in one of my socks, placed that sock in a jar, and set the jar in the back of my closet. The fish has been dead for over a month. FML

I hope that the jar was sealed. Put some raw shrimp in the curtain rods in his room. That'll show the little bastard who's boss.

didnt you wonder what happened to the fish?

How in the world could you not smell that?

you wouldn't smell it. the jar was probably closed and airtight, for the most part.

my hero. lol the shrimp comment was hillarious too. hahaha

And your point is...? Flush or toss the fish, wash or pitch the sock and jar, and ground the kid for a while - problem solved.

awww... thats cute.. i wonder if i could get away with doing that... just to annoy my parents :)

I don't think I saw anyone say that it's a possible danger to local sea life to flush a fish. One fish probably won't hurt, but it's an 'if everyone does it' kind of a thing that leads to the possible danger/diseases/contamination. Better to bury it under a plant. Plants eat that shit up.

Whatever you do, don't open that jar. Just throw it into the nearest ocean and run.
