Today, to make my dorm neighbours think I'm popular, I blasted music and screamed at the top of my lungs so it sounded like I was having a party. My residence manager slapped me with a noise violation, and demanded to come in to make sure we weren't drinking. I had to explain why I was by myself. FML

Today, I found out my upstairs neighbor is a drummer. He's actually quite good, so I didn't have the heart to report a noise complaint. That is, until he screamed Ringo Starr's infamous line, "I got blisters on my fingers!" at the top of his lungs after playing them too long. I would have laughed if it wasn't 2AM. FML

Today, my flat has turned into a pigsty. My flatmate decided to make the lounge his bedroom and it looks like a bomb has hit it. I haven’t been able to sleep, as he doesn’t sleep at night and talks to friends all night long or plays loud music. FML

Would you enjoy being kept up until 4 in the morning by a loud beginner accordion player? it's one thing to play one well it's bad enough for most people, but to be bad at a bad instrument is not a double negative.

Ummm, I think the FML is that the flatmate is prone to staying up late and being rather loud. Now he has just recieved an accordian, which he will most likely practice at night, loudly.

Just because he got one doesn't mean he has to play it at night. Make sure to set ground rules on the instrument before he really gets into the "practicing."

I don't know why, but skimming over this I could have sworn you also called your roommate "flatulent." Good lord, what a combination! My ex-roommate used to turn on a cd of yodeling before she went to sleep. We should get those guys together.
