Today, I was bartending. A guest was getting belligerent so I had to cut him off. He called me a bitch and threw the rest of his drink in my face before storming off. The belligerent asscandle was my boyfriend. FML

Alcohol isn't an excuse. I'm sure he knows he shows out when he drinks, which either means he needs to learn how to be responsible while doing it, or just not do it at all.

My ex husband used to get mad at me for cutting him off or talking to male customers (for him to say it, he made it sound like I was sleeping with all of them for tips). Eventually it got to the point where I had the owner ban him from the bar on the nights I was working. I'd say you definitely stepped over a land mine here, OP.
