Today, my stepfather currently has a restraining order of 1 Km because he kept on stalking me and my fiancée. I'm getting married in a week and I just found out that my mother invited him. I need to think fast on how to stop this scumbag from showing up. FML

Today, my husband's ex-girlfriend is getting a restraining order on him. Turns out, for the past 2 years of our marriage, he has been trying to contact her and ditching work to stalk her. To top it all off, he told me not to come to court with him because he doesn't want her to see he downgraded. FML

Today, I found out I have a restraining order against me from my ex boyfriend. Apparently, I drive by his house too much and it is considered stalking. He forgot that I live 2 houses down, and MUST drive by his house to get home. FML

Today, I got into a fight with my mom because she believes that my fiancé is "irresponsible" and "immature". I stormed out and drove back home. There, I walked in on my fiancé and his friends. Sounds like it’s time to 1) disinvite your mom as well, 2) call the cops and inform them stepdad is going to violate his restraining order.

firstly, only you are allowed to give permission to come with the order, and even then it is not a smart idea for him since he needs proof. And letting the cops know that someone else told him he could, will most likely lead to them following up and letting him know that he would still be in breach. having a cop at the event would be smart, since this situation can be handled by them simply turning him away and letting him know whoever invited him should not have done so. Don't worry op this SHOULD be able to be handled without a big scene.
