So the FML or YDI depends on how long you've known him... and frankly if you didn't know him for long, shoulda never had sex with him.

If he's someone you never planned to have kids with - partially YDI and PROTECTION! If you did plan on kids - fyl either way inform said fiancé

Given that he's referred to as "the dad" and not your boyfriend or ex, I'd assume this was not in a long-term relationship. While it's possible protection failed, it's far more likely this pregnancy is the unintended result of poor life choices (for both individuals). Also, that guy is a douche.
