Today, I got a parking ticket because I was too busy singing along to my music to notice that I'd overstayed the time limit on the quick stop parking space. FML

Are you sure the ticket was for parking and not bad singing? Public nuisance laws can be pretty strict.

depending on how long you stayed YDI. if it was several minutes then yeah, ydi for being in the way of a usable parking spot. if it was 1 minute or 2 FYL those are some stringent rules, considering it reads like you were in the vehicle.

Quick stop parking is for QUICK STOPS. Stop, load/unload the passengers and their luggage, and drive again. No time for kissing or singing. YDI.
