Good deeds

Today, a wheelchair-bound kid in my study hall dropped one of his textbooks on the ground and he couldn't reach it. When I noticed, I stopped what I was doing to go pick it up for him. The problem is, he sits right in front of the door, so I got yelled at for "trying to leave class without permission." FML

Spread the rumour the teacher hates disabled kids. You have evidence now. Any teacher who yells at you that way and didn't apologise or try to find out what you were doing deserves it.

You deserve it, you dumb ableist! Stay away and make the kid figure out how to pick up his own damn book. That's the only way he'll move forward.

All you had to say was “I’m picking up the book for (use the person’s name if you know it).” There is nothing wrong with helping out someone when you can.
