Money for nothing

Today, I went to buy some frozen yogurt. I filled up a cup and the cashier rung it up. The total price was $6.92. I only had $5 in my wallet. So I gave her the $5 bill and went to my car to get more money. Little did I know, there was no money in my car. So I drove off. Leaving the $5 behind. FML

I think it's clear OP didn't take the yogurt. They wrote "I left the $5 behind" not "I accidentally stole some yogurt." Sounds like OP ended up with neither money nor yogurt. I doubt the cashier would've let them take the yogurt to the car with them when they haven't fully paid for it. Sucks for you, though, OP. Had you gone back, they might've just let you have the yogurt even though you were short since they probably have to throw it away anyway.

Definitely good advice. Personally, I would make sure the amount is less than what I have in my wallet. If you have to make a card purchase, then check your account prior to picking up the item.

Here's what you do, OP. Go back to the shop and tell them that you received an emergency call and had to leave immediately, then ask them for your $5 dollars back. No need to give them details of the "emergency" call either.

the cheapest country in the world yet things are so "expensive" for y'all lmao

Oh god, this reminds me of the episode of Impractical Jokers where they have to try and buy frozen yoghurt for as little money as possible... Did you try pretending you didn't speak English?

That's exactly what I thought of when I read this. "That was 14 cents right?"

Next time open your shirt and flash them. Naked ******* always get a discount.

Leaving the five behind would be what's right to do considering you cost the restaurant more than five dollars in wasted food

Being that the total "retail" cost was $6.92. The loss to the store was not over $5. Those places have high markups.

Froyo is expensive you need to bring a 20 to some of these places.

Don't fill your yogurt up as much next time.
