Today, my apartment management notified me that my water was going to be shut off all day so they could fix the plumbing. I took a laxative last night. FML

Today, I found out that a water pipe at my work had burst over the weekend. There is absolutely no water in the building, including the bathrooms. It's a 9-hour day, and I took a laxative this morning before I came in. FML

Today, my apartment building shut off our water for a short period of time because the pipes were being worked on. It was also the morning my dog had diarrhea on my cream carpet. Not only did I have to clean it up without water, I couldn't wash my hands afterward. FML

Today, I woke up to find that there has been a water main break in my neighborhood and there is no running water until the break is located and fixed. I had chili with beans late last night and it is wreaking havoc with my lower gastrointestinal tract, and the toilet won't flush. FML

Today, there was a potluck at my girlfriend's house. I had a sour stomach, so I went to the bathroom to relieve myself. When I flushed, nothing happened. They had to call a plumber to fix the toilet filled with my crap. The whole family watched, noses plugged and faces cringed, looking at me. FML

Today, after 8 days of being on a medication that makes it hard to go to the bathroom and no luck taking laxatives and drinking coffee and apple juice, I finally got to go. Too bad I was at my desk at work when it happened. I washed out my pants in the bathroom and got to sit in wet pants for 4 hours. FML

Stock up on water to fill the tank before you go. you have a flush or 2, so flush wisely, lol

We've had to do this when there's a storm coming! Fill your Tub and plug it. You can use a bucket to scoop and flush your toilet manually! Just dump into bowl. :)

yep, I kind of hate how the water level is when I flush like that, especially if number 2 is involved, but yeah, I'm almost sure you use less water doing the manual flush than filling the tank. And you can always add extra if you don't want to have to clean as much from the bowl...

FYL for sure! I can relate for sure. I was in a vacation in Thailand and got poisoned one night. Unfortunately that same night the water at my hotel was off! Needless to say it was the worst experience I’ve had! Diarrhoea and vomiting took turns!

Unless it was an emergency, that's illegal without 24 hours notice minimum, though the standard is a week for water shutdown. I hope you contacted building management.
