Today, our daughter was diagnosed with hypodontia, which means half her adult teeth never formed, so when she loses baby teeth, no adult teeth exist to replace them. This is going to cost a fortune since she’s either gonna need dentures or multiple surgeries to insert artificial teeth. FML

I know its gonna be expensive but you're not the one who would be missing half your teeth.

Not quite sure that applies... as far as I know, people with hypodontia first need to wear the braces to ensure there is enough space for the artificial teeth, and only after THAT they start to have the surgeries. So, not-quite-silver-linings.

You're gonna save a fortune on braces! And not have to worry about whether she'll wear her retainer. Silver linings, buddy!

Fortunately, it's cheaper per tooth to install a whole set of artificial teeth.
