Today, I got a super short pixie cut. All my boyfriend could do was stare at me, speechless. I thought he was taken aback by how cute it was, until he told me that I look exactly like my fifteen year-old brother. FML

I have never met a man that has liked short hair on girls, I don't get why girls seem to like it so much when they always look worse than with long hair.

I didn't mean it as no guys do but I personally havnt met a man who does I do think that it shows that most men don't prefer it and therefore the op should have talked about it with their boyfriend first as there was a huge chance that he wouldn't like it. Maybe it is just people I know but I would be surprised if most men preferred short hair.

#121 It's still really OP's choice. I did tell my boyfriend before I cut my hair short (a little longer than chin length) and he was fine with it. The length of my hair doesn't matter to him, as he is attracted to me no matter what haircut I have. I just think that some guys should care a little less about how long a womens' hair is.

People in relationships are not two halves of the same person. They are allowed to make their own decisions about their personal appearance. Maybe OP just wanted a change. And you can all stop stating your personal opinions about what's attractive and what's not as fact, because it's subjective to each person. OP, maybe your haircut will grow on him, especially if he sees it every day. And if he dumps you because of the haircut, then he's an ass and you can find someone better.

Short hair can be cute on girls! It's sad that your boyfriend doesn't see that. Some guys prefer short-haired girls (I dated a guy who preferred my short hair). Anyone saying "SHORT HAIR ISN'T ATTRACTIVE ON ANY GIRL OMG" is just being silly...Because it's just personal preference. Some girls can look super cute and rock a short 'do (not every girl, mind you, but some really can). Some guys like long hair, some guys like short hair, and some guys couldn't care less how long their hair is as long as they're cute.

agreed :) but having long hair, I'd have to say, if I cut my hair, I'd look soooo bad!! so basically it's all about whether you can pull off that look or not :) maybe OP can't pull it off as well as she could her longer hair. just saying :)
