You could easily have refused to pay for his bail therefore this predicament is solely due to your own lack of resolve to reject your old partners request

ydi. the only reasons I think you "had to" was either you are a complete push over or you wanted the D...and if you are a pushover you need to grow a pair,but I personally think you wanted it. ?
