Today, moments after leaving early, my boss emails me asking if I'm in the office. After an illegal U-turn, running a stop sign, parking in a visitor spot, and sneaking back to my desk, I find out she was locked out of the building but had since found her keys and let herself back in. FML

Today, I snuck out of work 2 hours early. As I was speeding away so I wouldn't be seen, I rear-ended my boss as he was leaving the lower parking lot for a late lunch. FML

Today, my first day on the job, I locked up the office after everyone left and set the alarm. An hour later, my new boss angrily emailed me that I locked him inside the building, setting off the alarm and prompting the entire police department to show up. FML

Today, my boss contacted me to come in for a quick meeting. I drove 30 minutes to get to work only to find out she was firing me and wanted my key card back. FML

Today, I was running late for work. I was trying to find my car keys, then realized I'd left them in my boyfriend's car. My phone charger was locked in my car, and my phone was dead. I couldn’t get hold of my boss and explain what had happened. I’m fired, aren’t I? FML

Long walk home

Today, I got locked out of a building that I work in (I work night shifts). I locked my phone, wallet, and car keys in the building. I had no way of contacting my boss or getting a ride. I had to walk home at night, almost got hit by a car full of dudes yelling slurs, and had a woman scream at me from the passenger seat of a car. FML

Today, my boss walked down to my office with me to get some paperwork after a very tense, important meeting. He patiently waited while I tried to unlock my office door with my remote for my car. Twice. FML

my interpretation is that they left work early, apparently without telling their boss. the boss's email (though i dont see how that happened considering the OP was driving and the boss was locked out of the office) made the OP think that they had been caught. they turned around, blah blah did all the illegal things and found out it wasn't about leaving early. |:

English is clearly the hardest language for you to learn #10. OP said he snuck into his desk, meaning he didn't get caught or was locked outside. The FML part was doing so many illegal things over nothing, OP thought their boss caught them, but instead they just needed a key.

She left early because her boss was gone. While driving home her boss e mails her "are you still in the office." She doesn't want to get caught leaving early so she rushes back to work (making illegal turns and such) and finds the door locked. So she can't get back in to her office.

hmm sounds to me like the person pulled all the illegal maneuvers to stay out of trouble but was still caught because the boss had made it back inside?
