I take it further. I greet total strangers by name. If they are over 30, they are Mike or Karen, and under 30, they are Dylan or Ashley. I get it right often enough to be hilarious!

That's why I don't take any chance; I say hello to everybody and anybody, just in case the person knows me. I love seeing the WTF look on some people's face when I happily wave at them.
