Today, I put lemon juice in my hair as a cheap and easy way to get highlights. I left it in my hair and I laid out in the backyard to get some sun. The sunshine wasn't the only thing that found me; it seems every bug in the neighborhood is now hiding in my hair. FML

Today, I tried dyeing my hair at home to save some money. I carefully followed the instructions but when I rinsed it off, my hair turned a shocking shade of shiity neon green. Not wanting to leave the house looking like a radioactive toad, I wore a hat and hoped nobody would notice. FML
Today, I tried to dye my hair blonde using a DIY kit I found online. As I was washing out the dye, I realized my hair had turned bright orange. I had to wear a hat all day to avoid being seen in public with a Johnny Rotten fright-wig. FML
Today, the weather was nice so I decided to eat outside. I quickly found out that my new, expensive hair conditioner attracts bees. Lots of bees. FML
Today, I found a DIY beauty hack online, so as I had nothing better to do and my skin is a mess, I gave it a try. I mixed lemon juice with sugar to exfoliate my face. Little did I know, I had a tiny cut on my cheek. The lemon juice made it feel like my face was on fire. FML
Today, I thought it would be fun to tint my hair. An hour later, I resemble a blueberry and it looks like a Smurf exploded in my bathroom. FML
Today, I tried dying my hair blonde. I put my hair in a bun and waited for it to dye. I guess I did something wrong, because my hair is now 4 different shades of blonde/orange, along with patches of my natural black hair. FML
Today, I decided to bleach my hair but then my mom got mad and put my hair in a bun after helping bleach it. Mind you, it is currently blonde orange and black and I don't think it worked, and my hair is fried. FML
Today, I attempted to bleach my body hair so I wouldn't have to shave. A little while later, I realized that I'd also succeeded in bleaching my skin, which was incredibly noticeable. I'm hosting a pool party this weekend. FML
Today, I woke up with greasy hair, despite taking a shower last night. After washing my hair several times and it not going away, I realized that yesterday I put aerosol deodorant in my hair instead of hairspray. FML
Today, I bleached my hair for the new school year. Instead of blonde, it came out orange, making my hair look like a bloated pumpkin. FML

Lemons are cheaper and natural. They don't dry your hair out like dye does

I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. and who are you to judge, you have made spelling errors in your life before. just because I messed up on one word doesn't mean my gpa will stoop down to like a 2. also, i dont know why you are so interested in my life, im getting somewhere and i know it, i worked extremely hard for what i want and it paid off, so nothing gets to me, neither do your pointless comments because it just makes me feel better about myself and my accomplishments. everyone makes mistakes. no ones perfect and you are damn far from it just as well as I am. Actually lemon juice does lighten people's hair, however it works best if you have medium brown to blonde hair. Also it doesn't work it you hair dyed hair.

Most hair dyes used to have a peroxide base, a lot still do! It's not great for your hair but if it's only for highlights does it really matter? Chances are if you've dyed you hair regularly in a salon or with a home kit in the last 10 years you've used peroxide.

dilute it with a little water and spray it in your hair. the citrus overtime will naturally lighten your hair. it doesn't give you bold highlights like a salon would.... it lightens your hair just a little bit. you have to have lighter hair to begin with though
