Today, I had to beg my boyfriend to get him to take a shower and brush his teeth. This is a basic weekly argument. FML

I had someone like that and it doesn't change! my ex husband does have depression but honestly you can only try to help someone for so long and you have to also take care of your OWN mental health as well.

depression does slow a person down in certain areas, however at some point he should have pushed past it and regarded your feelings as well, as you were trying to help him maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Either he suffers from depression or is a slob. If it's the former, he needs to get help. If it's the latter, maybe try to find a boyfriend who isn't hydrophobic.
