Good excuse

Today, my wife returned to Mexico where her grandfather is dying. I’m supportive, but while the old buzzard continues the circle the drain, she’s posting weekend photos of her and her high school friends hiking, doing shots, and hitting the pool. Happy Anniversary, Babe. FML

So she's not allowed to have some time away from the stress of helping to care for her grandfather?

Poor girl. It looks like she's not handling her grief very well.

When I went to a funeral in Jamaica, do you think I didn't go to the beach too? I had a break from school and had to get away from all the sadness. I for one am terrible with grieving when I'm around people who know why I'm sad. I can't take the knowing stares or the are you ok? every second. So your wife also decided to do something fun while in a place where fun things happen. Even better yet, she isn't even at the mourning part yet because he is STILL ALIVE! Let her have her fun to distract herself from what is imminent. you sir are a POS. Getting mad at her for having fun some days while she's in the process of losing someone she's close to. I feel bad for her for marrying you. You have no empathy. No sympathy.

jeez, did everyone else reading this not see him mention their anniversary? her posting all the fun pics is kind of rubbing it in his face. sucks about dear old gramps, but wifey doesn't have much tact with the posts. also, just hope she didn't make up the grandpa thing for an excuse to party....

People process grief dirrently. Me and my wife have a wildly different process. The thing is that noone has the right to claim the others process isn' "the right one". Sounds like her process is hanging out with friends and having fun with them. Respect that. And, if you're not being a stuck up douche about this, but rather the loving, caring person you ought to be for your wife, you will have plenty of anniverseries to come
