That's not neccessarily evil, it's either efficient because technically she's not wrong with that, or it is insecure like in 'i can't take this load'. Either way she has absolutely no ability to work with her emotions, so yes - probably dodged a bullet. I'm sorry for you, good luck and strenght!

I don’t understand how you can call her actions low when you know and love the quality that led to the action. What she did was efficient and within her wheelhouse, so get over it. It sucks that you have an aggressive cancer, but some people can’t do the emotional drain that goes with it.
