Don't break my stuff

Today, I complained to my mom about her always acting cold towards me, and that it feels like she doesn’t love me anymore. Her response was, “You’re damn right I don’t, not since you broke my favorite glass last year.” She used to tell me she’d always love me no matter what. FML

If possible find a replacement glass online that's the same. Gift it to her, and then cut her out of your life. You deserve better, than a mom who won't love you over a piece of glass. She will grow old alone and regret it.

When she said "no matter what," she couldn't imagine you destroying her favorite glass. That glass must have been a helluva piece of drinkware!

I would highly recommend DBT therapy if you're able to utilize it. Best of luck, I'm sorry you're going through this :/

Why are you pushing DBT on people who are not engaged in self-destructive behavior?

Whether she loves you or not shouldn't affect you. people come and go. parents are no different. A friends parents can be better than your own. don't read to much into and use it to make you stronger mentally.

Is this the same person who posted the FML where they broke their mom's favorite glass and the father decided to lie and take one for the team?
