Today, I got a phone call for a interview at Target at 4:30 pm. I got super excited, so I got dressed up and headed over there. I told the manager that I was there for my interview. He didn't know what I was talking about. My friends had prank called me. FML

Today, I was to have an important phone interview for a job. I got a call and everything went perfectly, and they said I was hired. Later, I found out that one of my "friends" had gotten one of his buddies to prank call me and make sure the line was engaged when the real interviewer called. FML

Today, I got a call from a really great company that I applied to work for, asking me to come in for an interview. When I went in, they had no appointment scheduled and no idea who I was. It turned out it was all a prank by my brother and his friends. My brother is 30. FML

Today, I got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize. It was a man with a speech impediment, and I began imitating him. He was the manager of a store I applied at. He wanted to arrange an interview. FML

Today, after months of job hunting, I finally got a phone interview with a company. Excited, I prepared for the interview and conducted extensive research on the company. The interview ended within a minute. They'd got the wrong person. FML

Today, I got a call about a job interview, saying I was hired. I was ecstatic, until they called me back and said they'd called the wrong applicant. They called again later, saying there'd been a mistake and I really was hired. When I went in to confirm it, they said they'd never heard of me. FML

Today, after being unemployed for over four months, I got a call from a company I've wanted to work for for over 2 years. After they were about to set up an interview, they called me by a different name. After correcting them, they hung up on me. Turns out they had the wrong number. FML

Today, I got a call from the only company that asked me to come in for an interview of the many applications I submitted. I answered it even though I was at my current job. My boss heard and chewed me out. The call was to cancel the interview since the position was filled. FML

Today, I had a job interview. I didn't have any clothes suitable for the interview, so I went to the store early and bought some there. After the interview, I went to return the clothes, because they were so expensive. The hiring manager saw me. FML

I'm another target "team member" and unless you plan to only work there as seasonal help, you just got lucky... I've been there 3 years and and it just sucks.... I only make 10 cents more than some new schmuck, cuz they don't tweak vet's pay when they raise min. wage! and they try to compensate their shitty pay with shitty discounts at other shitty businesses that no one ever shops at!

Your friends are asses, but you didn't think to look at the caller ID on the phone? I'm pretty sure no phone made in the last 10 years doesn't have that feature built into it. FYL for what they did, but YDI for not doing a simple check to see who was really calling.

After the phrase, "I got super excited", you could have just put a period. The job market is rough right now and I appreciate the concept of desperation, but when it reaches the height of "super excited", it's time to find a nearby bridge and step off the ledge... Oh, and these people are not your friends - in case you were wondering.
