Today, after meeting a girl for the first time and having sex with her, I found not only my wallet missing but also the 128 GB pen drive that had my project I've been working on for 6 months on it. I have to give the presentation in 3 days. FML

Today, I went to turn in a coding project a few days early. After months of working on a code and saving backups, everything is gone or corrupted. I have to start from square one and turn it in less than 48 hours from now. FML

Today, I had just finished re-completing all my assignments because I had lost my USB last week. I reached into my pocket for gum, instead I found the USB that I had apparently lost. I spent my weekend alone rather than spending time with my friends. I don't have another weekend off for a month. FML

Today, I finally finished typing up a story I had been working on for about 7 months, saved it on my computer and left to hang with friends. Came home later to find my dad had sold my laptop in order to pay his phone bill. My hard work is now gone. FML

Today, after taking my clothes out of the washer, I noticed at the very bottom of the washer my boyfriend's USB stick I found a couple of days ago. The USB stick contains his English essay, and his novel he has been working on for almost six months. FML

Today, I gave a short presentation at a neighborhood watch event to raise awareness of pickpocketing and to give tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of it. After I got back home, I realized my wallet was missing from my pocket. FML

Today, I visited my girlfriend's apartment for the first time. I guess she forgot to do some spring cleaning before I showed up, because I saw my laptop on her couch. The same laptop that was stolen from my house along with several other valuables last week. FML

I'm not going to be a judgmental guy and say that you deserved it for having a quick hookup. I will, however, be a smart computer user and say you deserved it for keeping such an important project only on a flash drive. Back up important stuff to at least 3 places!

Hey Guys OP here. The sex was protected. The girl was a one of the hottest cheer leader at my Uni that I had been wanting to get hooked up to. I had about 70 something dollars in my wallet and the loss of pen drive was disastrous. I did confront her later that week. She denies everything. And about my work. I found a back up on Google Drive but it was a month old. I eventually stayed up and got all the work done in about 8 hours. The presentation went perfectly fine.

cloud storage - it's been free for over a DECADE, and you can't 'lose it' like a flash drive. If you already knew about that, then this is YOUR fault for being a stubborn dumb ass.
