Today, yet again, I had to dye my hair brown in advance of the new school year, because my school doesn't allow "unapproved" colors, even if they're natural. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I bleached my hair for the new school year. Instead of blonde, it came out orange, making my hair look like a bloated pumpkin. FML
Hair-raising
Today, I walked into school confident about the new hair color I'd had done over the weekend. My drama teacher apparently dyed her hair the same color; everyone noticed and thought I'd copied her. FML
Today, I decided I wanted to dye my hair a medium brown. Little did I know, some jerk switched the hair dye boxes. My hair is now bright orange. FML
Policy schmolicy
Today, I let my daughter dye her hair pink. I got an email from her school stating that the hair color violated the school dress code as it's “distracting,” and she will not be allowed to attend classes until she changes it. We do school over Zoom. Not sure how her hair distracts on a screen. FML
Today, I tried to dye my hair blonde. Turns out, green hair doesn't suit me. FML
It's called fashion, Deborah
Today, I colored my hair. It was supposed to turn out blonde, but it became more a mix of red and brown and blonde patches. When I tried coloring everything back, a green tint was added. My hair is at the moment red, brown, blonde and green. FML
Today, as always, my mother hates my life choices. Particularly my hair for some reason. As she's always whinging about it being dyed blonde, I dyed it back to my natural colour again to appease her, and stop the constant bullying. She hates it. FML
Everything's gone green
Today, it's been a month since the hair dye that was supposed to be temporary is still making my hair tropically green, now with some added roots making it look even worse. FML
Today, I learned that my hair color is classified as "Buttered Toast". FML
Crisis
Today, in an effort to save money, I dyed my hair at home. I used the wrong shade, or brand, or maybe I shouldn’t have bought a cheap one, but now I look like a mutant traffic cone. My boss asked if I was “expressing myself” or “just having a midlife crisis.” I can’t afford to fix it, so I’m stuck like this for weeks. FML

What color is your hair naturally? ._.

They can't make you dye your hair... That doesn't make sense or seem right at all. You go to a religious school or something? Which still doesn't make sense considering that's the color God gave you. FYL.

Just let it grow out from the dye so they can see its natural. Take it up with the school board or whoever the boss' boss is so they have to allow it. Fight the system!!!

I'd press charges for discrimination. They can't do that if it's natural hair.

You should fight that some future people won't have to suffer.

This made me think of Ichigo from Bleach.

It should be illegal for an educational institution to require you to dye your hair. That's insane, I would refuse to do it.

They do not have the legal right to do that. Nobody has the right to force you to dye your hair. Go to the courts.

And I thought my high school was strict... I don't think this should even be legal. I wonder if they also make girls get breast reduction surgery if they don't have an approved cup size.

Take them to court, that's discriminatory and you could win big

You know you can sue your school because that would be discrimination. But I guess it can differ from which country you live in because my country's charter or rights state that we can't be discriminated if anything.
