Today, while I was painting, my little nephew came in and started watching me. I left to clean my brushes. When I came back into the room, my nephew had spilled paint all over the carpet making a rainbow. It took me 5 hours to clean it up. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Can't take my eyes off you
Today, I babysat my niece and thought a quick shower would be fine. I left her watching cartoons with a blanket and returned to find she’d used washable paints on the carpet and her hands, leaving tiny colorful footprints to the couch. Her proud smile made me forgive the mess, but I spent the evening scrubbing. FML
Remodeling
Today, I finished painting my living room. I had to leave the house in a rush. When I got home, I found smears of paint all around and the carpet crusted with paint that had dried. My cat had rubbed up against the walls and tracked it around. FML
Today, after three weeks of hard work, I finally finished painting my room. Apparently my 6-year-old brother thought I wasn't done and that he should help me out. I now have little red handprints all over my white walls. FML
Today, I had to clean up after the kid who discovered he could finger paint with his poo. FML
Today, I was painting my bedroom walls, when I was struck with an uncontrollable bout of diarrhea. I had to watch helplessly from the en-suite bathroom as my 2 year old daughter painted a lovely picture for me, all over my new $500 sofa. FML
Today, I painted my daughter's bedroom. When I wasn't paying attention, the cat walked through the paint tray. There are now Barney purple paw prints all over the house. FML
So sweet
Today, I was washing dishes while my 2-year-old was napping… or so I thought. When I finished and went to check on her, I found she'd taken off her diaper and smeared poop all over the carpet. She must have been up a while because it was everywhere. I spent the next hour scrubbing. FML
Messy
Today, I was babysitting my 5 month-old nephew, who hasn't pooped in two days according to his mom. Well, he pooped. I accidentally stuck my finger in it. While I was wiping my finger off, he rolled over and peed on my new carpet. I rolled him over to clean the pee and he opened fire and pooped again. FML
Thanks, I hate it
Today, I finished a painting I'd spent 3 weeks working on for an exhibition. When I came back from lunch, my cat was perched above it on my desk. He looked at me, then down at the painting, then jumped down onto it. He slipped and smeared the wet paint everywhere, ruining the whole thing. FML
Modern art
Today, I finished a big painting for art class. It's also the day my little brother decided it didn't have enough puke on it. FML

Depending on the kid's age YDI. I am assuming he is a toddler, but if he was around 7 years or older, he's a turd and knew better than to **** with an open paint can.

why didnt you cover the carpet? and you should be keeping a better eye on him.

YDI, why would you leave your 'little nephew' with open paint cans. That's a disaster waiting to happen right there.

hope it wasn't oil!

You are lucky he didn't stick his head in the can and inhale the contents. YDI (my phone tries to turn ydi into UFO...)

How is this an FML? At least you were able to clean the paint up. Also, YDI for leaving the kid alone, & not explaining to him why he can't touch or play with the paints.

Let's also hope that you're never put in charge of this child's education regarding bodies of water. YDI.
