Today, while driving my kids to school, my son said, "Why don't you find another place to live, so we can just live with daddy?" Then my daughter added, "Yeah, 'cause we LOVE Daddy." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Quick turnover
Today, after meeting the love of my life two weeks ago and moving him in to start our life together, my kids have run off to live with their dads. Apparently they are “not dealing with another new dad.” FML
Today, my eldest son told me he wishes he lived with his dad. This after I, two years ago, managed to get myself and my children out of the abusive situation we were in. Why? He didn't want to tidy his toys. FML
Today, my 5 year-old informed me she likes her "other mummy" more and wants to live with her instead. I need to have a long conversation with my husband. FML
Today, I drove my two kids to their friends' houses. In my convertible, looking what I though was my best, I slowed down outside a bar with cute 20 year old girls in front. My daughter noticed the speed reduction and said, "Keep driving dad, you're fat and mom left you for a reason." FML
Thanks, kids
Today, I told my son and daughter that their father and I were getting a divorce. They each responded with something like, "Yay! I want to live with Daddy! He buys better presents!" Their father has literally never bought anything for them, one of the many reasons I'm divorcing him. FML
All over the place
Today, I drove 15 hours to drop my son off at my parents' for their vacation, just for them to tell me that they changed their minds and they're taking my sister's kids instead. FML
Mystery man
Today, as I was taking my three year-old daughter home from daycare, she asked where her daddy was. I tried to tell her that I was her father, but she answered, "No, not you! My other daddy!" I've got some talking to do tonight. FML
Today, I explained to my 5 year old daughter that her older sister from my husband's first marriage lives with her mommy, and my daughter lives with us. She exclaimed, "It's not fair! I want two mommies like she has! Can we swap, I like her mommy better than you anyway!" FML
Today, my daughter asked me if we could adopt a child. I said no, since we can't afford to support another child. She then asked me if she could just adopt another dad instead. FML
Today, my daughter told me that she wanted to live with her father because they have a faster internet connection. FML

It really makes me wonder why your kids would say something like that. I know they sometimes say things they don't mean because they don't know any better... But I don't know. I'm not trying to say you are a bad mother or anything, it just makes me wonder.

Reminds me of everybody loves Raymond. Raymond never scolds the kids so he's the good parent.

This is unspacific. Are you the dad or mom? (The son either talked to you as a third person or was talking about your husband (if your the woman.)) And it kind of was intended as sarcasm but you should have written, "sarcasm intended" or something.

Kids are just brutally honest. However, they're also capricious. Maybe tomorrow they'll love you...?

the kids sound pretty young still. Don't worry, their father probably does what my mom calls "the DisneyLand Dad" thing. See my parents got divorced when i was 4, and our father then became the disneyland dad, treating us to ice cream, buying us toys, and yes even took us to disneyland in California (we live in Canada). He always told us when we turned 12 we could choose to live with him if we wanted. My brother loved that idea. Any way, your ex probably told that to the kids that if you moved else where they could spend all their time with him getting spoiled. In reality if they did live with him and not you, then the spoiling would stop, and a big reason he wants them is to hurt you. So don't take it so hard, your the better parent I'll bet. You can't spoil them as much as your ex, but try to get out with them more, even taking them to the park or the public swimming pool can do wonders. Driving them to school every day isn't something they appreciate it's something they expect. Go do something fun with them. camping, bike rides, picnics, then that will help to even the score until they are a bit older. which reminds me, keep talking to your ex and tell him how you feel, or else he may be spoiling them as teens as well and you'll have two bratty teens who hate you. if need be threaten to have visitation reduced, you may be apart but you still have to try and parent as one, that is; if you don't want your kids to turn into terrible people. good luck.

Or he could just be a good dad and OP is just a total **** like all ex-wives.

It definitely sounds like OP is still married to their father, though, so he's probably not doing that. My guess is OP has to be the bad cop and her husband is the good cop. That's how a lot of parents are. Hell, that's how my parents are.

Well the way it sounds it looks like you're the better of the two parents, if your children hate you, you're doing a good job, unlike the father.
