Today, while at work I passed out due to my blood sugar not being normal. Despite the fact that it took 10 minutes to wake me, no one thought I was in any sort of danger. After the episode, I then got fired for "sleeping on the job." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
This is fine
Today, while at work, I suddenly went into diabetic shock. As I was nearly passed out on the floor, a customer yelled at me for not getting his coffee in time. FML
Not funny, guys
Today, I accidentally fell asleep at work after working a 12-hour shift. Instead of waking me up, my coworkers spiked my coffee mug with whiskey and told my boss I was drunk. My boss wouldn't even listen to my side of the story and fired me. FML
Narcolepsy? Boredom?
Today, I was fired for falling asleep at work. I’m still not sure how I fell asleep, seeing as I’m a stocker and I was actively putting cans on the shelf when it happened. FML
Today, I worked 24 hours straight fixing my company's servers. After it was over, I breathed a huge sigh of relief and promptly fell asleep at my desk. My boss found me an hour later, refused to listen to me, and fired me for sleeping on the job. FML
Today, I passed out when my blood sugar dropped. Three times. And each time, my roommate, who was right next to me, just let me fall because he liked the way my face looked. FML
The day after
Today, I went to work completely hung over. I was at my desk for 5 minutes before security threw me out on my ass. Apparently, I’m hung over because I got fired yesterday and got blackout drunk, completely forgetting that I had been fired. FML
Any excuse
Today, without any warning from my body whatsoever, I had to go to the bathroom at work to puke. I was then fired for being ‘drunk’ at work. I wasn’t drunk, just sick. FML
Today, my manager said I could go on a break when he came back from his. After 7 hours with him still missing, I started to get dizzy. I ended up passing out and hitting my head on a ladder from lack of food. I woke up in the hospital to a card from my manager saying, "Get Well. Don't Sue." FML
Blackout
Today, I blacked out at work, on my lunch break outside in the rain, and woke up on the ground wet a minute or two later to everyone freaking out, all because I chugged my drink too fast. FML
Mismanaged
Today, my manager gave me hell for leaving the restaurant early yesterday. Guilty as charged, but only because I was rushed to the hospital after going into diabetic shock. This assmunch is convinced that I either faked it all to get off work early, or that I'd been eating our own stock. FML

Shouldn't your coworkers know you have diabetes?

Sucks to have low blood sugar issues. I once passed out shoveling snow, due to blood sugar, off my drive way and nearly froze to death so FYL

um...take them to court. get a lawyer and sue them into chapter 13. **** that, sue them so much that they need to invent a whole new chapter of bankruptcy law to accomodate them. so i say, neither. not FYL, not YDI. you may not ever need to work a day for the rest of your life after this.

Why the **** didn't u stand up for yourself, and tell them. Why were you such a little pussy, and just let them totally take control. SUE THEM, but you should of told them what REALLY happend. FYL.........and YDI.

Why didn't OP stand up for him/her self? Ummm, maybe because OP had just woken up from passing out? I don't think you can seriously expect a person to stand up for anything too strongly for the rest of the day after something like that - probably still disoriented. I'd imagine, anyway; I'm not diabetic, so I don't really know. Anyway, the standing up will probably start tomorrow, as the collection of all the company's money is about to begin.

ok you should have told then that you have a blood sugar problem. i have had diabetes since i was 14 months old and am now 18. i have been seen by some of the leading diabetic researchers in the world, so i know what i'm saying. you don't always feel the lows coming (i'm in really good control and have passed out from being low) and it is against the law for them to fire you.

Yes, im sure he/she could sew. It would be much more useful to sue them though.

I know how you feel. Hard to get fired from being an Electoral Judge though, especially when you're the youngest. Advantaaage~
