Today, while at work I passed out due to my blood sugar not being normal. Despite the fact that it took 10 minutes to wake me, no one thought I was in any sort of danger. After the episode, I then got fired for "sleeping on the job." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
This is fine
Today, while at work, I suddenly went into diabetic shock. As I was nearly passed out on the floor, a customer yelled at me for not getting his coffee in time. FML
Not funny, guys
Today, I accidentally fell asleep at work after working a 12-hour shift. Instead of waking me up, my coworkers spiked my coffee mug with whiskey and told my boss I was drunk. My boss wouldn't even listen to my side of the story and fired me. FML
Narcolepsy? Boredom?
Today, I was fired for falling asleep at work. I’m still not sure how I fell asleep, seeing as I’m a stocker and I was actively putting cans on the shelf when it happened. FML
Today, I worked 24 hours straight fixing my company's servers. After it was over, I breathed a huge sigh of relief and promptly fell asleep at my desk. My boss found me an hour later, refused to listen to me, and fired me for sleeping on the job. FML
Today, I passed out when my blood sugar dropped. Three times. And each time, my roommate, who was right next to me, just let me fall because he liked the way my face looked. FML
The day after
Today, I went to work completely hung over. I was at my desk for 5 minutes before security threw me out on my ass. Apparently, I’m hung over because I got fired yesterday and got blackout drunk, completely forgetting that I had been fired. FML
Any excuse
Today, without any warning from my body whatsoever, I had to go to the bathroom at work to puke. I was then fired for being ‘drunk’ at work. I wasn’t drunk, just sick. FML
Today, my manager said I could go on a break when he came back from his. After 7 hours with him still missing, I started to get dizzy. I ended up passing out and hitting my head on a ladder from lack of food. I woke up in the hospital to a card from my manager saying, "Get Well. Don't Sue." FML
Blackout
Today, I blacked out at work, on my lunch break outside in the rain, and woke up on the ground wet a minute or two later to everyone freaking out, all because I chugged my drink too fast. FML
Mismanaged
Today, my manager gave me hell for leaving the restaurant early yesterday. Guilty as charged, but only because I was rushed to the hospital after going into diabetic shock. This assmunch is convinced that I either faked it all to get off work early, or that I'd been eating our own stock. FML

Shouldn't your coworkers know you have diabetes?

Sucks to have low blood sugar issues. I once passed out shoveling snow, due to blood sugar, off my drive way and nearly froze to death so FYL

To Anon: this is the third time you manage to get an FML on here you are either incredibly unlucky or just a liar

To everyone on this page: Do you know where Anon comes from? Most likely the OP is a 4chan freak and therefore everything done there is "for the lulz". Anything he/she posts is a fake
DameGreyWulf 1
Anonymous was a word used long before 4chan existed, idiot.

what DameGreyWulf said doesn't do the fact justice. According to this: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=anonymous there is a record of anonymous in 1820. And i guarantee 4chan wasn't the first to think of "anon"

It's ******* illegal for them to fire you for having a disease or illness of some sort. They can't do that, and if this were true, which we all know it isn't, you could sue them. The same type of thing happened to my dad. He would always doze off at work, and couldn't help it, because at the time he didn't know he had sleep apnea. Once we had figured it out we were able to sue the company. To the OP: if you're going to make a FML, at least try to make it believable.

If this is the truth, SUE THEIR ******* PANTS OFF.

Not actually, the body is sometimes able to wake a person up after about 10 minutes without outside help.

being a paramedic and in medical school I have treated more diabetic comas than i care to count, NOT ONE woke up on their own, remember when blood sugars get low enough for someones brain to start shutting down nothing will make that better besides more sugar. The body would have exhausted it's options for gluconeogenisis for it to get to that point.

I just know what my doctor told me. But oddly enough sometimes when I'm low and don't eat anything my blood sugars go back up again.

wow. people have so little knowledge when in comes to diabetes these days. I'm diabetic and have have had teachers in the past accuse me lying about my diabetes when I went low. it's sad.
