Today, while at the gym, I started flirting with a hot doctor. I thought things were going well so I suggested we work out together sometime and maybe work our way up to dinner together, to which she replied, "Sorry but I've seen tumors bigger than your biceps," and then walked out. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, while working out in the gym, I spotted a very attractive girl. I decided to pick up the heaviest dumbbell to show off how much I could curl. She ended up driving me to the hospital because I burst into tears after tearing up my bicep and deltoid. FML
Today, while working at the bar, I had a beautiful woman squeeze my bicep and tell me I was in amazing shape. Instead of flirting like any normal human being, I awkwardly said, "Thanks…" and then walked away in shame. FML
Today, I was on a first date at a bar, when a girl walks over and ask me if I'm a doctor. I said yes, thinking she overheard me talking about my PhD. The girl then showed me a lump on her breast and asked what to do about it. My date then slapped me and left. FML
Today, I was working out at the gym. A very attractive girl was watching me work out, so feeling like a stud, I tried to lift a really heavy weight. I failed, got trapped, and watched helplessly as she walked away laughing. FML
Today, I asked my doctor out on a date. He had his nurse turn me down. FML
Today, after weeks of flirting with the hot guy at the gym, he finally asked me to meet up with him outside. I was diagnosed with strep throat just hours before our date. FML
Today, I was at the gym trying to work up the courage to ask a girl out. She was on the treadmill, and I thought it would be cute to wave hello. Instead, she looked horrified and sped up, then slipped and fell off the treadmill. She thought I was mocking her, and now everyone at the gym hates me. FML
Today, after waiting a year, I asked a coworker who I like to work out at the gym with me. She said yes. I figured this would be the perfect place to show off my body and impress her. In every exercise we did, she lifted more weights than I did. FML
Today, I just finished nearly a year of muscle-building in order to impress my crush. Turns out she doesn't date fit guys, because "they're all jerks". FML
Today, I was at the school's rec center, working out for the first time in a while. While there, there was this very mysteriously attractive girl who kept shooting me glances. I asked for her number and she responded by saying "if you can lift this same weight as me". I couldn't. FML

Well you're going to the gym for a reason...I'm sure the bigger biceps will come with time. A better personality for her probably will never come.

As much as I agree that it's a FYL and she definitely could've been nicer, I do see her side of it. First of all, as mentioned, there is a time and place for hitting on someone and gym isn't generally one of them (I, personally, wouldn't mind if they weren't interrupting my routine). Secondly, as you mentioned, she was hot and also a doctor meaning she's smart, she probably gets hit on all the time and is in general tired of it and has experience with guys not taking a simple no for an answer. And finally if she really is that hot and smart then she probably has lots of options and to be honest, half of the reason I go to the gym is to 'be an option for hot guys' because I would really love to make out with a hot guy, so though you might have those tumour sized biceps one day, but she's already in that league, so if appearance is (as important as personality) to her, then it's her choice not have to wait for that.

All these people saying the woman is shallow as if OP didn't decide to hit on her solely because she's hot. Like, there are literally hundreds of article and thousands of complaints from women about how annoying it is to have guys constantly hit on them at the gym and not take a hint that the woman just wants to be left alone. This is a hot, educated woman making a lot of money. She is not going to be lacking for options. OP is equally shallow and also rude, but apparently not all that attractive and used the wrong form of "too" in his user name. I'm going to take a statistical guess that he also makes significantly less money than her doctor salary. He got cocky and decided to bug someone out of his league who probably had been indicating for awhile that she was sick of him and he got burned. Be honest, if your female friend came up to you and said "There was this cocky asshole at the gym who would not stop hitting on me while I was just trying to do my cardio" and then told you she delivered this you'd probably applaud her for the sick burn and putting the a-hole in his place.
