One time I went to hang out with an old high school friend, and she did a sales pitch on me because she got caught up in some pyramid scheme. I went out with her twice, hoping the second time wouldn't be the same, it was, and I've been dodging her ever since.

Life insurance is anything but useless, but I can see why you would say that if you don't have kids or a family that depends on you.
