Today, it was my first driving lesson. I was so bad, the police stopped me and accused me of being drunk, because I almost crashed into the pole in front of them. FML

Today, I had my first driving lesson. I learned how to be stopped by a cop, who told me what a horrible driver I was. FML
Today, on my first driving lesson, I crashed my instructor's car. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot. FML
Today, I went to take my driver's test, and I did almost everything perfectly. The last thing was to back into a driveway. As I went to put my hand on the passenger seat to look over my shoulder, I got so nervous that I hit my instructor in the face. FML
Today, I failed my driving test. I rammed into the parallel parking poles, ran a stop sign, and stopped at a cross intersection. My instructor called me an idiot. FML
Today, I started my job as a driving instructor. My first client showed up piss drunk. FML
Today, I was having a driving lesson. I ended up driving so badly that my instructor asked me to stop the car. Not so he could explain my mistakes to me, but so he could get out and vomit. FML
Today, I was rear-ended while at a stop sign, by my driving instructor. FML
Today, I was learning to drive a stick when a cop decided to pull me over just to laugh at me. FML
Today, I was pulled over for a DWI. The police officer was drunk. FML
Today, I hit a parked car. It happened to be my driving instructor's car. While he was instructing me, sitting in the passenger seat. I don't think I'll pass. FML

That's a shame. I think all first lessons should be off of the public highway. A lot of people struggle in their first lesson but pick it up really quick afterwards. There's something about that first time. The less said about those that never get it, the better.

everybody on the road was a student at one point. although sometimes it seems student drivers are better than most cause they actually follow the rules

I was on an urban freeway during the beginning of rush hour 10 minutes after getting behind the wheel on my first lesson. That instructor kinda had a sink or swim teaching method. I ended up alright.

Don't feel too bad. My daughter's first lesson was in a parking lot and she managed to rip a piece off the underside of my car.
