Today, my parents canceled the Internet at our house because they view it as a "passing fad." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Think this through
Today, my parents were surprised when I told them that changing the internet and cable service would also cut themselves off from the internet service's email. Which they have everything connected too. I thought about this when they told me they were saving $200 on switching. They apparently did not. FML
Control
Today, my parents threw a hissy fit calling me ungrateful and disrespectful for wanting to do laundry and clean at home, instead of going out to their friends' house for dinner. They also disconnected the Internet to punish me when they left. I'm 20 and visiting home on a college break. FML
Today, my daughter told me that she wanted to live with her father because they have a faster internet connection. FML
Today, my landlady cut off the Internet to my flat. She says she has no use for it, and doesn't want to keep it anymore. I have 3 online assignments due in the next week, and finals the following week. FML
Today, my parents told me off for reading, as opposed to watching TV like the rest of the family, because it was "anti-social". FML
Today, my parents confiscated my iPod, because the parents' group they go to came to the conclusion that music is a gateway to anti-social behavior. FML
Etiquette
Today, I had to be the responsible adult and take my parents' phones away. Most of their time is spent on social media and low-quality brainrot. FML
Today, my dad got a warning from our ISP for going well over their fair usage limit. I barely use our wifi, and I keep telling him he should password-protect our router to stop people leeching our Internet. He's blaming me anyway, and says I'm grounded until January. FML
Today, my parents gave me an iPhone. They then checked my grades online, and promptly took it away. FML
Today, my mother said she called our internet provider, and told them to cancel it. In rage, I left for a friends house for a couple of hours. When I got home, she told me she was joking, and wanted me out of the house so she could eat all the ice-cream. FML

And I'm guessing they probably ride pogo sticks to work because those will be popular forever.

Well obviously it says they've canceled it, probably means it'll end when the last billing cycle is completed. And the OP may have mobile data, and a smart phone to be able to access the Web anyway.. Or their parents are just trolls ;)

Suuuure, a passing fad that only 99.9% of the world uses on a daily basis. We'll never get to the point where we can shop online, pay our bills online, have video chats with each other, play games together. It'll all end before any of that happens.

Dear child who hasn't been educated, the Internet was developed in the 1960's. It became commercially available during the 1990's and that is what I was talking about when I said twenty years. Please before you try to call someone out use google and check it yourself.

Your parents are officially retarded, stupid, dumb, moronic idiots. Sorry for the redundancy, but I felt that fewer adjectives just wouldn't cut it.
