Today, my grandma is refusing to talk to me because I didn't answer her phone calls while we were at a parade. I was in it. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, while at my aunt's funeral, my grandma who has terrible memory loss asked me whose funeral we were at. I had to explain to her that her daughter had died. FML
Today, I drove over an hour to my grandma's house for her birthday party. When she answered the door, her eyes went wide and she said angrily "No, not you!" and slammed the door shut in my face. FML
WTF Grandma?
Today, I spoke to my grandma on the phone. Two hours later, my cousin sends me a screenshot of my grandma inviting her and my sister out to lunch tomorrow. This is the fourth lunch in a row I have NOT been invited too. I don't know why she keeps doing this. FML
Today, I went to pay my grandma a visit. She called the cops because she didn't recognize me and thought I was a robber. FML
Today, after holing myself up in my room for the day, I eventually turned my phone back on and told my girlfriend that my grandma passed away today. She replied, "Ask me if I fucking care," then accused me of not caring about our relationship because I went offline all day. FML
Enough is enough
Today, I was confiding in my grandma about how lonely I am and how everything in my life seems to be falling apart. While I was in mid-sentence, she rolled her eyes and made a show of removing her hearing aid. FML
Today, I had to cancel my plans to go see my grandma, because I wasn't feeling too well. I called her to apologize, but she had trouble remembering who I was. When I told her my name, she said "Oh, the FAT one." Yes grandma, the fat one. FML
Middle ground
Today, after my wife and mother in law criticized me for being glued to my phone, I set out to prove them wrong by being away from it. When I finally opened it, my family was upset because my grandma died and they had been trying to reach me for several hours. FML
Today, a telemarketer called my house phone and asked for my grandpa. We were in the middle of having his wake. FML
Today, I was on the phone with my senile grandma, when I told her I had to go because I had an appointment at the clinic. For some reason, she assumed I was talking about an abortion clinic, and started raging at me and calling me a murderer. FML

Tell her that she called the wrong number, she'll believe you

If she's anything like my grandma, give her a few minutes, she'll forget why she was mad. And possibly forget who you are.

Tell her you lost your phone

What utterly selfish behaviour. I can't imagine my gran expecting me to be at her beck and call and being upset if I didn't answer, *especially* if I had a legitimate excuse for not being able to. Sorry, OP - she's sounds like a piece of work.

1st, OP didn't GO to the parade they were IN the parade. 2nd, there is no age limit on parades. They're open to anyone.

You still should have answered, something could have been wrong

Do something nice for her so she remembers you care for her.

Tell her the parade rule said phones had to be off and say your sorry. She's old and loves you so bend a little.

Just give her a little gift and say sorry to her, even though it wasn't really your mistake. But then she may be not mad at you anymore and that's worth a try, right?

Unless she's senile, that would be extremely disrespectful. The elderly should be treated like adults, not placated like infants.
