Today, my employer gave me a gift to celebrate the one-year anniversary of my hire date. It would have been a really nice gesture if they weren't laying me off at the end of the month. FML

To me, it looks like your employer would love to keep you, but for some reason can't. He wants you to be treated equally till the day you die - I mean leave.

I had a job mail me a anniversary gift a week after I was laid off. WOO!

Praying that you won’t be laid off for long.

It's the thought that counts?

Is the lay off permanent? Or is there a possibility of your being hired back.
