Today, I was a bit upset to learn that my 13 year-old daughter had a boyfriend. When she noticed, she assured me that I shouldn't worry, because "it's just for sex anyway". FML
Today, I found out that my daughter not only has a boyfriend, but that they're trying for a baby. She's barely 15. FML
Today, our daughter has actually been dating a decent guy, compared to the usual losers, and was going to meet his parents. My wife put her foot in it by repeating over and over again how important meeting the parents is. She psyched her out so bad, she cancelled meeting his parents and dumped him. FML
Today, my daughter told me she wanted to divorce me. FML
Today, my 14-year-old daughter told me she's pregnant and plans on dropping out of school to live a life on the road with her boyfriend. FML
Today, my 15-year-old son told me that he and his new girlfriend are deeply in love and are meant for each other. The "girlfriend" in question? My fiancé's 12-year old daughter. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me that his daughter only liked me because she thought that we look like siblings. FML
Today, as revenge for not buying her a new iPhone, my twelve-year-old daughter told her father that my boyfriend, who just moved in with us, is on the sex offender list. My ex turned my boyfriend into the cops and his parole could be revoked. FML
Today, my husband and I sat our 10-year-old daughter down for a chat over her recent cursing. When my husband asked where she'd heard the words, she "innocently" replied, "from mommy's other boyfriend." He took her seriously, accused me of cheating, and hasn't been home since. FML
Today, my daughter came to me crying because the boy she’s been rejecting for 8 months stopped asking her out, and is now dating someone else. Apparently she secretly liked him and is mad he gave up. That boy dodged a bullet, but I still have to put up with her crazy ass though. FML

That's a pretty understandable reaction if you consider how important it is for young teenage girls to feel accepted, wanted, and desirable. So much of our society stresses that girls have no value outside of being desirable partners so a lot of girls are taught that that's what their self worth is based on. It doesn't justify her being mad at you but it does somewhat explain it. It seems like she's reacting out of hurt and lashing out at a person who will accept and love her without any ulterior motive. It often feels "safer" to take out those feelings of hurt on someone you know for sure loves you. Give her room, and then be there to support her when she's cooled off. This is one hell of a bad experience for her. What an awful and inappropriate thing for her boyfriend to say, let alone do.
