Today, my child-hating friend who vowed never to have any no matter what, announced that she's pregnant. I've had three IVF cycles, spent $90k in fertility treatments, and still can't conceive. FML

Today, I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 years. I’ve gone through numerous expensive fertility treatments with no success. A former friend of mine owes me almost $2K. I’ve asked for the money back numerous times so that I can use it to pay for another round of IVF. She won’t pay. She just announced that she's pregnant.. FML
Today, I was told that I will never be able to have children. Thankfully for my husband, his girlfriend sure can. FML
Today, my close friend who’s always been incredibly vocal about how much she hates children, never wants to be around them or have anything to do with them, stopped speaking to me. She’s incredibly "hurt" that I asked another friend to be my unborn child's godmother instead of her. FML
Today, my friend told me she wanted to get pregnant. I thought that was good news, but then she said she wanted my boyfriend to be the father of her baby. FML
Today, after years of trying, my husband and I did IVF, fertilized 5 eggs, and the whole process was really rough. Now, a year after giving birth to our daughter, my husband wants to use another egg, but I don’t want to go through that all again. FML
Today, my mother-in-law said: "People who don't have kids are children of the devil." I'm infertile, she knows this. FML
Today, we have three kids. Two were "natural" and our third was through expensive IVF. Of all three kids, only our IVF son turned out to be a real asshole. Now he’s going to jail for armed robbery and pushing a pregnant woman to the floor. Wish we’d saved that IVF money and paid off the mortgage. FML
Today, we recently found out I'm infertile, and I thought we were both devastated, until my partner posted a drunk video to Facebook, basically celebrating that we will never have, "crying, nappy-shitting, soul-sucking, bank account-draining little sods." FML
Today, I told my mom I was thinking of having a baby. She told me it was a huge mistake because children cost a fortune, make you miserable, and if she'd had her chance again she would have gotten her tubes tied when she was 18 and saved herself the grief. Gee, thanks mom. FML
Today, after four years of infertility, my wife and I found out our miracle pregnancy was going to be a boy; our first child. Twenty minutes later, we found out our child has a terminal genetic condition, and will die in the next 4 weeks. FML

That's not how I meant it. I'm sorry you didn't comprehend my comment. The love is supposed to be a mutual feeling. What I was trying to say is that OP wants someone to love her & children provide that and happiness. It wasn't selfish, you just took it the wrong way. THANKS.

PSome people! Adoption can be expensive and tiresome plus you never know what that person did during the pregnancy. Everyone wants their own child and if the OP wants her own than that's what she deserves. No offense to the babies of the world but I want to create my own life within me a combination of my husband and my love into one beautiful child. My husband and I have been trying for two years no outside help or tests. I figure if nature allows it than i am ready until then all I can do is wait.

261- saying "no offense" doesn't make what you said not offensive, it just makes it obvious you know it's offensive. I am adopted. My parents spent 7 anxious months waiting before I was born. My (adoptive) mother was at my birth, and held me immediately. Adoption can be just as beautiful and meaningful as having your own child. It's not right for everybody, but you make it sound like it's the worst thing in the world, which it absolutely is not!

Everyone wants their own child? Speak for yourself woman, I've known since I was fifteen that when I'm ready to be a parent I'm going to adopt and when I do I intend to adopt older children the likes of which most people wouldn't give a second glance. Just because you think splurting something out that resembles a naked molerat is magical and wonderful and superior doesn't mean everyone else in the world shares your opinion.
