Today, my cell phone service was interrupted because I owed the company 27 cents. It cost 36 dollars to reinstate my service. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had to sell my phone to pay for the phone bill. FML
Today, I got my cell phone bill. I pay for 700 minutes per month. I used 9 last month. FML
Today, I seemingly misplaced my cell phone but didn't have time to look for it before work. This evening, my cell phone company calls me to tell me I have six hundred dollars worth of calls to El Salvador that I have to pay for. My cell phone was not misplaced, it was stolen. FML
Today, I overdrew my account and ended up paying an extra 35 bucks for a 1.99 item. It was an application on the iPhone that is supposed to help me keep track of my money. FML
Today, I received an almost $400 bill for Internet services I don't even have. When I called and talk to them they told me I still owe them $77 because I didn't catch it within 3 months. FML
Today, after having lost my phone three days ago, I paid a $150 non-refundable fee to have my phone replaced and mailed to me by Tuesday. A half hour later, I found my original phone. FML
Today, I found out that I owed my school $0.20. They decided to charge me a late fee of $20 for deferring the intial payment. FML
Today, the government froze my bank account for not paying college debt, and now I can't access my 0.30 cents. FML
Today, while I was out of the office, I'd left my phone charging inside. My boss informed me that since I am clearly running up her electricity bill, it will be deducted out of my already nearly non existent paycheck. FML
Today, my cell phone broke. It wouldn't even turn on. I went online to access my account so that I could order a new phone. I couldn't remember my password. The phone company had an option of "forgot my password". Upon clicking I get a message saying "Your password will be sent to your phone". FML

Thats rediculous. You should vent by abusing the phone company. 27c used to buy you a bag of lollies. These days it will only get you a $36 infringement.

I just had that happen to me. I had gotten a text message from my service stating the amount due (My payments don't change. Yay for solid price contracts!) so I replied with "pay online." I went online, input the amount the text message said, and they accepted it. The next day (The day the bill was actually due..) my phone was turned off. Turns out, the computer sent an error message. And, having called and been told the only valid way to fix the few cent error was to pay it, I paid... Except I then had to add $20 because they "don't process credit card transactions under a $20 limit.) The only good thing is my credit card is actually my atm/debit card. =/

My bank tried to charge me $39 because of an overdraft of .07. I bitched them out so hard and for so long that not only did they refund me, they gave me overdraft protection of about $200. Never underestimate the power of a good cuss-out.

I worked for a cell company.. that doesn't make sense.. they do not (at least the one i have and also the one i work for) charge a reconnect fee unless you leave your account passed do more than that and for over a year.. then they get rid of it... but that situation doesnt sound right...

The best is when a bank charges you money for having an inactive account, bounces it, and then applies the overage charges to your account.

Phone companies suck. They should have worked w/ you on that, but I've heard of some that won't.
