Today, my brother tried cremating our deceased cat. In the oven. My nose has killed itself. FML

My little brother is five, and, yes, it has been discussed with him why that was a terribad idea for those of you who asked.

Let me begin with expressing my condolences. Though I can't help but wonder, how old is your brother?? If he's like 6 or 7 then I could understand. however if he's 15 or something... well that's a bit odd

Isn't it odd either way?? Putting a cat in the oven when it's dead when you're so young?

Cremating is just burning. Fires burn. Fires are hot. Ovens are hot. Guess you can get it to make sense. somehow. A little bit

A very little bit.

You should probably have a talk with him if he's young, and if he's older, get him some help.

Does Alf live with you? It's possible it's not your brother...cat is a delicacy on his planet...

Will he try to cremate your nose too?

At the ceramics studio I work at now they used to have a studio cat. When the cat had to get put down I guess they brought him back to his home and cremated him in a kiln. An oven will not cremate a cat, but a kiln definitely would.
