Today, my boyfriend is so ashamed of me that when someone asked how far along my pregnancy is, he quickly replied "5 months now!" instead of telling them I'm not actually pregnant. FML

I bet one hell of a pregnant silence followed that mistake.

Ouch, tell him if he keeps that up he won't get any chances to get you pregnant.

you have two options, 1: dump him or 2: lose weight. it depends on how you feel about yourself.

Or she could do both and consider it an upgrade on both ends

Perhaps the bf isn't at fault here? OP could work on her faults with the bf's help

how is the bf not at fault? if he has a problem with her weight that is his problem, not hers...

If she weighs 300 lbs it's definitely not his problem ...

Just tell people you have thyroid issues, that works for me.

You truly are an asshole aren't you?

And this is why you shouldn't be fat.

No, this is why people shouldn't be judgmental dicks to their significant others.

Or this is why people (OP's boyfriend) shouldn't be fatheaded.

Lose some weight - he knows where the door is!

Okay mama first thing ima say is he is still with you. Now idk the specifics like how young you are what weight you were when you first started dating etc. If he is still with you after you gained weight he is obviously still very into you and maybe he did that as a kind of message to try and get you to lose weight? Maybe he doesn't want to make you feel bad by asking you. Talk to him, find out how he feels and see if there is something that can be done. Maybe you both go on a diet and work out together I hear it's a good bonding experience. Stay beautiful

This is too adorable to take seriously!!!

that was beautiful man...

It's about time someone said this. I thought I was the only one thinking along these lines.

Lol thanks

In my opinion this is a YDI because I'd say 95% of the time being overweight is a problem that happens because the person doesn't eat healthily and isn't active. If you're really bothered about this, a healthy diet and some exercise wouldn't hurt.

There's no evidence that she's bothered by her weight, just that her boyfriend is. If she does choose to lose weight, it should be because she wants to, not because her boyfriend shames her into it.

You're so very wise, Doctor Oh, I'm sorry, you're not a doctor? You have no education to base your opinion on? Then quit being ignorant & judgemental.

At first I clicked on Your life sucks. Then I figured if you're that much overweight, you should diet and exercise. So I clicked on YDI also.

Tbh he probably did it so you didn't get embarrassed or awkwardness when someone says 'ohh she's not pregnant', talk to him OP

Wow so many very judgmental people on here.

Don't forget ignorant. It seems a lot of the stupidity is from underage children who don't know anything about real life or relationships or just really shallow, immature a-holes.

You're one to talk. You don't know the difference between "you're" and "your", and you seem to think that doctors are all knowing all sympathetic people. Most of the ones I work with are pretty upset about the fat epidemic. And they don't encourage people to say "everything is beautiful", because being overweight literally kills.
